Live Contests

 

I want to submit an entry to a contest. What do I do?

Go to the Home Page and scroll down to the section: Join Our Bi-Weekly Writing Contest. There are two contests published, one each for Children and Adults. Click on the Join Contest link and it will take you to the Main Contest Page, which has all the details of the contest, i.e., start and end dates, word limit, type of entry, etc. Scroll down the READY, SET, WRITE section and click on the Submit Your Winning Entry Now button. This will take you to a login/register page. Login/Register and then you can submit your entry on the page that opens up.

 

Why can’t I comment on contest entries?

To comment on contest entries, you will need to login/register on www.writinghat.com. Click on the menu option that says Login/Register and fill in your details. Once logged in, you can comment on entries.

 

I want to comment on some of the entries. How do I do that.?

Login/register on www.writinghat.com. Click on the menu option that says Login/Register and fill in your details. Once logged in, you can comment on entries. Go to the Live Contest Page (Children or Adults). Click on the View Entries button on the image right at the top. This will show you all the entries on the live contest. Click on the entry you want to comment on and scroll down to comment. If you want to comment on past contests, scroll down to the section titled past contests for older contests on the Live Contests page. Click on any of the boxes to view the details of the contest, the winners, and other entries for that contest.

 

I submitted an entry to a contest by mistake. How can I delete the entry?

Please email [email protected] from your registered email ID with the contest name and link to your entry asking for the entry to be deleted. We will delete your entry and you can resubmit to the contest.

 

I want to view entries to the Live Contest before I submit my entry. Where can I see them?

Go to the Live Contest Page (Children or Adults). Click on the View Entries button on the image right at the top. This will show you all the entries so far.

 

How do I see past contests?

Go to the Live Contest Page (Children or Adults). Scroll down to the section titled past contests. Click on any of the boxes to view the details of the contest, the winners, and other entries for that contest.

 

I would like to sponsor a contest. How do I do that?

There are two types of sponsors for a contest. One is a single contest sponsor and the other is an overarching main sponsor. Get in touch with us via email on [email protected] or via the Contact Us page form with your contact details and we’ll discuss your options.

 

Are the contests free to participate in or is there a payment required?

Participation in ALL the contests is FREE for all.

 

Can I submit multiple entries for the same contest?

No. Multiple entries for the same contest are not permitted. You can, however, take part in as many different contests as you want to in either Adults or Children’s categories depending on your age.

 

Can I take part in all the contests for free?

Yes. You can take part in all the contests in your age category, Children or Adults. Participation in all contests is FREE for everybody.

 

How do I see past contests?
